Dr. Rana obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) qualification, and he subsequently went on to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).He completed his advanced surgical training in hospitals across Adelaide, Northern Territory and Frimley Park hospital in London and was successful in acquiring fellowship in general surgery (FRACS) in February 2018. He completed his subspecialty training in colorectal surgery with colorectal fellowship years at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.

This comprehensive training has equipped him with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide excellent surgical care to his patients. This diverse range of clinical settings has enabled him to gain exposure to different patient populations and medical scenarios, further enhancing his expertise as a General Surgeon.
